    ADVISORY COMMITTEE & STAFF    
   

LAMO’s Advisory Board comprises distinguished members from the arts, education, media, development and tourism sectors of Ladakh:

Dr Clare Harris – Lecturer in Anthropology at the Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology and Curator of the Asian collections at the Pitt Rivers Museum, University of Oxford.
Kaneez Fathima – works in the field of education in Kargil and is currently Deputy Commissioner, Navodhaya Vidhyalaya Sangathan, New Delhi.
Thinles Angmo – Advocate of the District and Sessions Court, Leh. Member of the Women’s Action Committee Cell of the Mahila Mandal.
Tsering Dawa – owner of Oriental Guest House; Member of All Ladakh Tour Operators Association.
Dorje Angchuk – Area Manager, Jammu & Kashmir Bank, Leh
• Abdul Ghani Sheikh – historian and writer
• Morup Namgyal – singer, song-writer and dramatist; Padmashree awardee

STAFF

Executive Director (Honorary) – Monisha Ahmed (See Board of Trustees)

Projects Director – Tashi Morup, has a postgraduate in Mass Communication from Punjab University, Chandigarh and another postgraduate in Journalism from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). For the last 12 years he has worked as a journalist, Tashi ran his own weekly newspaper, Magpie, and also a video magazine that looked at developmental issues, contemporary art and music of both Leh and Kargil Districts

Projects Officer – Sharon Sonam, has a Bachelor of Mass Media from Wilson College (Mumbai) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Advertising & Public Relations from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC). Sharon has worked as a reporter and editor with a weekly newspaper in Leh, and as a copywriter at Contract Advertising Agency (New Delhi).

Librarian and Educational Outreach OfficerRinchen Dolkar, has a Bachelor of Science from St.Xavier’s College, Mumbai.  Rinchen has worked as a field researcher for the TATA Gyurja and LAHDC program in Ladakh, and a teacher for SECMOL (Student’s Education and Cultural Movement of Ladakh).

Program Officer, MediaDiskit Spaldon, has a diploma in Sustainable Development from the Tata Institute of Social Science, Mumbai. She has also trained extensively in film direction and editing. Since 2003 Diskit has worked with SECMOL (Student’s Education and Cultural Movement of Ladakh) making films, TV and radio programmes as well as producing their magazine ‘Ladags Melong’.
