Into the Vast the Intimate
23rd September - 31st October 2025
Jigmet Angmo

About the Exhibition
Entwined in an intricate dance between the unyielding might of nature and the fragility of human existence, this work lingers in a tale of contrasts, where delicate, intricately carved houses stand as testaments to human resilience and creativity, standing against the grandeur of mountains and skies. The ancient stones, the soil and the windswept ridges of Ladakh shape and reshape the terrain, speaking of its timeless power. Yet, in the midst of this untamed vastness, stand the human dwellings, diminutive in scale, emerging like the most delicate heirloom, imbued with the warmth of comfort, community and craftsmanship, trying to find its place, its meaning, and its home. This juxtaposition is a potent reminder of our place within this world - creators and inhabitants, fragile and resilient, our existence, a fleeting moment in the annals of time. A dance between the sublime and the intimate, the infinite and the finite. What is the meaning of this relationship?
