Internships at LAMO

Filming in Old Town Leh.JPG

LAMO offers internships to qualified students from tenth grade, undergraduate and graduate interested in the following areas: education, planning and outreach, communications, archiving, research, publications, curatorial, and heritage tourism.

Interns will have the option of working on assigned projects or taking on specific roles at LAMO. At the same time, they will have the opportunities to learn more about art institutions, exhibition curation, meeting people from diverse fields, and participate in all LAMO events.

Most of our interns come with a background in the arts, history, and environment. At LAMO, they have done research and visual documentation projects on jewelry and water in old town Leh, brought out a graphic novel ‘Dungjunma’ and worked on a film on waste titled ‘The Garbage Mountains’.

The internship is rolling and can be applied for at any time. However, we prefer interns to join us during the months of April to October, when it is warmer. The preferred length of time for an internship is four to six weeks.

If you are interested in interning at LAMO, please contact us.
